About Us

Our Vision:

Our vision is to win the lost at all costs, make as many disciples as possible, and raise an army of spirit-filled men and women who will fulfill the “Great Commission” of Jesus Christ.

OUR GOAL is to empower lives with God’s word.

OUR MISSION is to build The City Of Power, A multi-cultural, multi-racial Church and Christian Community that is spiritually and economically empowered to rescue the perishing, heal the sick and hurting, deliver the captives, and establish god’s divine will on the earth.

History

Bethel World Outreach Church – City of Power was started in the home of the founders and Senior Pastors, Rev. & Rev. S. Musa and Farmah Korfeh on July 3, 2002 with three persons attending the first Bible Study. After three Months of praying and studying the Word of God, the fellowship grew numerically, spiritually and in influence as lives were reached, touched, and transformed by the power of the Word of God and the Ministry of the Holy Spirit.

On November 2, 2002, the fellowship was inaugurated at the Land Cater Community Center by Bishop Darlingston G. Johnson, Presiding Prelate of Bethel World Outreach Ministries International, Inc. In 2004, we moved to our current facility on 17819 Kieth Harrow Blvd. Houston Texas 77084. At the end of 2009, we experienced a name change from the center of empowerment to the “City of Power.” In January and April of 2009, we started the Portuguese and Spanish services respectively. Currently, only the Spanish services are held on Sundays at 3:30pm.

Our history is rich with the testimonies of the demonstration of the Power of God through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, our weekly Deliverance Ministry, our Bible School -“Houston Bible Training Center”, our Sunday Morning Celebrations, and our Wednesday Bible Studies, we have seen the lives of many transformed.

Today, we have a growing church with members from over fifteen different nations of the world attending our English and Spanish services. We are currently establishing Care Groups in and around the community where our members and leaders live. The Care Groups meet twice a month to fellowship and provide needed care for members.

We are excited about the things God is doing in our midst and the vision He has given us: “Our vision is to win the lost at all costs, make as many disciples as possible, and raise an army of spirit-filled men and women who will fulfill the “Great Commission” of Jesus Christ.”
